Tips on writing good comments

Here are some good tips on writing a good comment:
  • Start with a greeting.
  • Be nice.  Compliment the writer in a specific way. Tell them what you liked about their post.
  • Make a connection - does their post remind you of something similar?
  • If you learned something new, tell them what you learned. 
  • Ask a question
  • Add new information.
  • Make sure your comment is relevant and related to the post. 
  • Check to make sure no one else has already written the same comment.
  • Don't reveal any personal information.
  • Use proper English - check for capitalization, punctuation, spelling and grammar. 
  • Don't use too many exclamation points.
